A grand celebration was held in Jaipur today. A parade by various units of the Army was organized on Mahal Road in Jagatpura, Jaipur, from 9 AM to 12 PM. This day is celebrated every year on January 15th because in 1949, Field Marshal K. M. Cariappa assumed office as the first Indian Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Army. Army Day is celebrated to honor the valor, sacrifice, and dedication of the Indian Army. On this occasion, the Army organizes parades, military demonstrations, and award ceremonies, giving people a glimpse into the capabilities, courage, and commitment of the Indian Army. This day reminds us that our freedom and security are possible because of the sacrifices and dedication of our soldiers.
