Shimla. Under the campaign ” Baccho ki Sarkar Kaisi Ho?” organized by Digital Baal Mela a special Baal Satra was organized in the Himachal Pradesh Vidhansabha in which 68 child MLAs from 42 assembly constituencies of Himachal Pradesh and 5 states raised issues related to children through Question Hour and Rule 324.
HP Speaker Mr. Kuldeep Singh Pathania, who was presiding over this session, in his welcome speech told how Digital Baal Mela came to him with the proposal of this special session and how children were selected in this campaign after 4 months of hard work.He also told how children’s issues reached the government through the platform of Digital Baal Mela. He also enlightened everyone by sharing the history of the Shimla State Assembly building.
Appreciating the efforts by Digital Baal Mela , honorable Speaker Mr. Kuldeep Singh Pathania said that the coming time belongs to the children and that such sessions for children will play a big role in building future legislators.
Chief Guest Chief Minister Mr. Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu and special guest Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Mr. Harivansh Narayan Singh were present along with Speaker Mr. Kuldeep Singh in this special children’s session held at the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly. The special thing in this session was that apart from raising their voice on child issues, the children also expressed their concern and protested against the increasing drug addiction in the state of Himachal.
Jhanvi Sharma of Digital Baal Mela told that the Vidhan Sabha Speaker congratulated everyone for the successful “Baal Satra” . Also after the session concluded, the Vidhan Sabha Speaker met the team of Digital Ba al Mela. He presented mementos to the Digital Baal Mela team. On this occasion, the Digital Bal Mela also honored all the office bearers of the Vidhansabha Secretariat thanking them for their support and contribution.
It is noteworthy that more than 50,000 children were associated with this campaign, and a total of 1,108 entries were received. Under the campaign Baccho ki Sarkar Kaisi Ho , 20 online sessions were also conducted, in which eminent leaders, educationists, artists and officials of Himachal interacted with the children.
