Jaipur| In the “Main Bhi Baal Sarpanch” campaign, the children don’t need to keep only the problems or issues of their Gram Panchayat. Children can also send their video entries while telling about any unique feature of their Gram Panchayat. The purpose of this initiative of Digital Baal Mela and UNICEF is not only to introduce the children to the Panchayat system but also to inform the children about the modal panchayats of the state. Children can express their views on many types of topics through these video entries. Such as-

Unique colors of my panchayat?
Solution to Panchayat Raj problems?
How my Adarsh Panchayat Should be?
Gram Panchayat and Child Participation?
How to strengthen the Panchayat system?
How the sarpanch of my panchayat Should be?
Etc., you can send your video entry on Any subject related to Panchayati Raj, this video entry will be considered as a nomination for being selected as your child sarpanch.
It is worth mentioning that through Digital Baal Mela and UNICEF’s “Main Bhi Bal Sarpanch” campaign, children living in the rural environments of Rajasthan are being made aware. Children are being made aware of the work of the Panchayat Raj system and child participation in it. Digital Baal Mela is allowing children to make their voices vocal through Baal Panchayats. Digital Baal Mela will also select some Baal Sarpanch from amongst the children, who will be called to Panchayati Raj Bhawan, Jaipur, and the children will get a chance to present their point of view in front of the Chief Minister.
For your information, let us tell you that this session will be kept along the lines of the Rajasthan Vidhan Sabha Children’s Session, which was also organized by Digital Baal Mela. 352 children will represent their respective Panchayat Samiti. The occasion of Rajasthan Children’s Vidhan Sabha was also given by the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Dr.CP Joshi for a similar awareness program.
