Dungarpur: Kahri “Baal Panchayat” was organized by Digital Baal Mela and UNICEF on 30th November. This Baal Panchayat was established in Dungarpur district of Udaipur division. As the chief guest, Kahri Gram Panchayat Sarpanch Rakesh Raut was present along with the children. A total of 300 children were present in this “Baal Panchayat”. Sarpanch’s interaction session was also held in this Baal Panchayat held in Panchayat Bhawan, in which he informed the children about the history of Panchayati Raj system as well as the works of Sarpanch. In his address, Sarpanch Raut expressed his enthusiasm to join the “Main Bhi Baal Sarpanch” campaign, as well as described this campaign as the right political guide for the children of tribal areas.
For your information, let us tell you that the “Main Bhi Baal Sarpanch” campaign has been started for children in the age group of 6-18 years with the objective to increase the “education, activism and participation” of children towards democracy at the Panchayati level. This will also help in building the leaders of tomorrow.
