National Voters’ Day: Children voted for the election of “LOKTANTRA PREHRI”..

Jaipur. Till now you must have seen people above 18 years of age casting their votes, but this time children did cast their votes. The children not only cast their vote but also elected their leader. This was on the occasion of National Voters’ Day 2023, on which a historic beginning took place in Rajasthan. The poster of this program which was organized simultaneously in all the 33 districts of Rajasthan was released by Gaurav Agarwal, Director of Secondary Education Department from Bikaner.Government schools from all the districts of Rajasthan were selected in this initiative organized by Future Society and Education Department.

Just as soldiers protect the borders of the country , in the same way there is a need for conscious watchdog and voters to strengthen democracy. In such a situation, this campaign has been started in the direction of making children the watchdogs of democracy. The voting percentage is still very low in our country. National Voters’ Day was started in India to increase voter participation in elections.
This new campaign has been launched with the aim of making voters of the future understand the importance of voting and make them partners. Significantly, the right to vote in india is given to all citizens at the age of 18 years. In this campaign of Digital Baal Mela, children from 8th class to 12th class were involved so that when they attain the age of 18 years, they have all the information related to voting and they vote rationally as conscious voters.

Children of all the 33 districts connected online . In this program, officials of the education department also joined Google Meet. In this program, Gaurav Agarwal, Director of the Education department, came on Google Meet to connect with the children of 33 districts. In Jaipur, this program took place at Mahatma Gandhi Government School (English Medium) located in Gandhi Nagar, which was presided over by the principal of the school, Kumud Sharma, while the District Education Officer of Jaipur, Rajendra Kumar Sharma addressed the children.Janhvi Sharma of Digital Baal Mela told that this program will be organized in all government schools of Rajasthan in collaboration with the education department, and children will awaken the spirit of democracy.
