International Day of Action for Women’s Health is celebrated globally on 28 May every year since 1987. The main objective of celebrating this day is to increase awareness about issues related to women’s health and well-being across the world. The Latin American and Caribbean Women’s Health Network (LACWHN) and the Women’s Global Network for Reproductive Rights (WGNRR) launched the day. How did International Women’s Health Action Day begin?
In 1987, at a reunion of members of the Women’s Global Network for Reproductive Rights (WGNRR) in Costa Rica, May 28 was declared International Women’s Health Day for women’s health. Since then, it started being celebrated globally every year on 28th May and many types of programs were also organized across the world with the aim of making women aware. In the year 1999, it was officially recognized by the Government of South Africa.
This is a competition organized by Digital Baal Mela to increase the writing ability in children. Every month the child who sends the best article is awarded the title ‘Writer of the Month’ and the winner is given an amount of ₹ 1100. We organize this competition every month, the information on which topics you have to write articles is given by Digital Baal Mela at the end of every month. Articles written by children are posted on the website of Digital Baal Mela.
