Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore was given a place in the cabinet of the newly formed Rajasthan government. He has reached the assembly by winning from Jhotwara seat of Rajasthan Assembly in 2023. Rathore has been given the charge of Industry and Commerce Department, Information Technology and Communication Department, Youth Affairs and Sports Department, Skill Planning and Entrepreneurship Department, Sainik Welfare Department.
Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore is among the select leaders who were sent by the BJP from the central leadership to contest the assembly elections.
Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore was born on 29 January 1970. Rathore is a politician as well as a former Olympian. He won 25 international double trap shooting medals from various competitions, including a silver medal in the men’s double trap event at the 2004 Summer Olympics.
Before retiring as a colonel in 2013, Rathore was a commissioned officer in the Grenadiers unit of the Indian Army. After leaving the army and taking up shooting, he was elected to Parliament in 2014 as a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. In the 2014 Lok Sabha election, he won from Jaipur Rural constituency and became the MP.
Talking about Rathore’s educational background, it includes BA, Grading Tactics (YO) course and Instructor-Weapons (MMG, AGL, Small Arms). He received his education from the Infantry School in Mhow and the National Defense Academy in Pune.
Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore was appointed Minister of State for Broadcasting and Information in November 2014. From 2017 to 2019, Rathore was the sole cabinet minister in charge of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.
On September 3, 2017, he was appointed as the Sports Minister. Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore was appointed Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Information and Broadcasting in May 2018. Rathore contested the Rajasthan elections in November 2023 from Jhotwara assembly seat and won with a margin of more than fifty thousand votes.The Digital Children’s Fair was started by Janhvi Sharma, a student of Maharaja Sawai Mansingh Vidyalaya, Jaipur, to remove the boredom of children during the Corona period. Under this, many campaigns have been organized so far in which “What should be the government of children?” “Main Bhi Baal Sarpanch”, “Kaun Banega Loktantra Prahari”, “Museum Through My Eyes” etc. are included.
