Raja Gajendra Singh Khimsar of Khimsar was born on 25 December 1959 in Khimsar Fort. He completed his schooling from The Doon School and pursued graduation in Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario, Canada.
Khimsar is considered one of the leaders closest to former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raja.
Gajendra Singh Khimar was a minister in both the governments of former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raja. From 2003 to 2008, he served as the Energy Minister of the Government of Rajasthan. From 2013 to 2018, he handled other important departments along with the Industry Ministry.
Gajendra Singh Khimsar has also represented India in the World Squash Championship.
Gajendra Singh, also a hotelier by profession, has received the ‘National Grand Heritage Award for Excellence’ – the highest recognition given to any heritage property by the Department of Tourism, Government of India.
Lohawat assembly constituency was created after delimitation in 2008. In the two elections held since then, only Gajendra Singh Khimsar has won the election from here.
In the 2023 Rajasthan general elections, he reached the assembly by winning Lohawat seat by a total margin of 10549 votes.
Gajendra Singh Khimsar has been given the medical and health department.
The Digital Baal Mela was started by Janhvi Sharma, a student of Maharaja Sawai Mansingh Vidyalaya, Jaipur, to remove the boredom of children during the Corona period. Under this, many campaigns have been organized so far in which “What should be the government of children?” “Main Bhi Baal Sarpanch”, “Kaun Banega Loktantra Prahari”, “Museum Through My Eyes” etc. are included.
